Seltsam Simulator is a concept for a role-playing game where the player is a student at a university for monsters and creatures of the occult. The player's goal is to date one- or more- of the main characters. However, they may also be dragged into a mystery, as there is also a serial killer on the loose on campus..

Create a project with the target audience of young adults before or during college or university.

There were endless sketches showing potential character designs, expressions, dynamics- but these are some of my favourite sketches for the final designs of Zed (left), Finn (right) and Conor (bottom).
I conducted primary market research towards my target audience on which character tropes and archetypes they wanted to see more of, and used that to define these characters.

Viktor is the child of an angel- the virtue Patience. I played with a few different ideas but decided a fun concept would be for a character surrounding patience to have a fascination and desire to create life.
Because of this interest and Viktor's link to religion, I based him off of Frankenstein (the doctor). I tried to make this evident through his dated clothing and glasses, but brought it bac

I wanted to allow the player to make their own customised character, a feature I found extremely popular during my primary research.
I took a character I had previously set aside to use as a stand in to show off the feature, and laid out the screen in a way that I initially imagined.
I'm not game designer, but this aspect of design was very fun and I loved finding new ways to incorporate the heart

As another example of gameplay, I wanted to show the title screen, but struggled for a while in deciding how I'd want to depict it. Eventually I landed on something casual and environmental, like the player is looking down at a desk or table while studying.
I enjoyed incorporating the heart motif once again, this time in the latte art, and I even snuck in an extra motif of the 'eyes' in another p

I wanted to show the game not just as a concept but as a potential franchise. I like having a physical object to use as proof of a concept.
With this poster, I wanted to show how the characters are visually and characteristically different, but also wanted to tie them together using fun graphic 'emote'-like symbols in a secondary colour, so each colour is used as a primary colour for one character

I designed other pieces of merchandise including charms, acrylic standees and stickers.
With these designs I focused mostly on just having fun with the medium and producing something cute that I would want in my house- I am a part of my target audience, after all. I also conducted primary research to see what types of merchandise people enjoy most when purchasing from franchises they enjoy, so the
